I am looking to purchase a new drill press. 16.5" or greater. The new Delta 17-95OL seems nice with the Twin Laser cross hairs built in. But then again it seems like it may just be the smaller 12" version on a larger stand for a lot more money. The 17-990X looks nice but No Laser. Anyone know of a quality Press that also has the Laser cross hairs built in?

It seems to me that any off axis laser or other pointing device would have paralax, and the error would increase with distance from the chuck.

I have one. its pretty dead on regardless on the distance from the chuck! The laser is horizontal so it doesn't change as you raise or lower the chuck...
Unfortunately I don't use it much, I tend to hold the wood and my hand blocks part of the laser

I saw that at Rockler. It had some pretty cool features besides the laser if I remember.
